BREAKING NEWS: As of Tuesday 4 February, the Brisbane Biological Symposium has SOLD OUT.
Platform10 is delighted to announce details of the 2025 Brisbane Biological Symposium, co-hosted by CSIRO.
The Symposium will take place on Monday 17 February 2025. The Symposium venue is the CSIRO office at the Ecosciences Precinct, 41 Boggo Road, Dutton Park, Brisbane. This is a 5-minute drive from Brisbane’s CBD and the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre – home to evokeAG 2025, which is taking place on 18-19 February.
The Symposium program has been designed to attract key stakeholders, including influential growers, researchers, regulators, agritech companies and investors who take an active interest in the ag biologicals space. The Symposium has secured leading international experts who will share their insights into this rapidly developing area of ag inputs. As regulators and consumers around the world call for ‘less chemicals, more biologicals’, biologicals are now the fastest growing segment of commercial agriculture. Analysts predict the biologicals market will reach US$25 Billion by 2030.
Australian & New Zealand researchers & commercial companies are developing and delivering ground-breaking biological solutions to growers. The Symposium will hear from a number of these as we explore the opportunity to accelerate collaboration and partnerships across borders. Delegates will hear more about the Platform10 initiative and how key public and private sector stakeholders can engage within the ANZ region.
The Symposium is delighted to be joined by Platform10 co-founders, Peter Wren-Hilton, Founder of Wharf42, Dennis Donohue, Director, Western Growers Center for Innovation & Technology and Dr. Jeana Cadby, Western Growers Director, Environment & Climate, from California. Other members of the Platform10 Advisory Board will be joining the Symposium in Brisbane including Dr Adrian Percy, inaugural Executive Director of the NC Plant Sciences Initiative (NC PSI) at North Carolina State University, who will be delivering the keynote speech.
The Symposium Steering Committee has developed a content-rich agenda which focuses on some key themes:
